Hello all,
Not really an issue to solve, I am just curious as to whether or not if you "eject" an internal drive from your OS, does it actually spin down, thusly saving you power / battery life?
I am planning on adding a second HDD be replacing my optical DVD drive with one, but am a bit concerned as to my laptop's battery life afterwards. I don't want it dramatically reduced of course. It would be nice if I could just eject it via disk utility (OSX), and then mount it whenever I need it to extend batt. life.
Thank you
I did not find the right solution from the internet
